Niels Bohr

닐스 보어 (1885.10.7 - 1962.11.18) 는 덴마크의 물리학자. 1922년 노벨 물리학상을 수상하였다. Bohr married Margrethe Nørlund in 1912, and one of their sons Aage Niels Bohr grew up to be an important physicist, who like his father received the Nobel prize. Niels Bohr is widely considered one of the greatest physicists of the twentieth century.

Niels Bohr is one of the most important scientists from Denmark; he is depicted on the front of the 500 Danish Kroner banknote and the Institute of Physics, founded by Bohr himself, at the University of Copenhagen is named after him.
